FARGO, N.D., July 20, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heartland Poker Tour, the nationally-syndicated poker show produced out of Fargo, North Dakota, is set to film its 200th episode on Monday, July 30 at Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, NM. A $250,000 prize pool guarantee in the Main Event will ensure the landmark episode is action-packed. Poker pro Greg "Fossilman" Raymer will lend some star power to the event.

"Our event in New Mexico is especially meaningful for all of us in the HPT family," said Jen Mastrud, newly promoted HPT Director of Operations. "The HPT team has dedicated several years to producing and perfecting the very best poker tour and TV program. Our 200th episode is more exciting than ever."

The highly experienced HPT team led by Mastrud includes commentator Fred Bevill, promoted to Director of Media Productions and Executive Producer; his original on-air partner Chris Hanson, long-time Tour Manager Dave Quenette; and On-Air Floor Director Jaymz Larson. Additionally, the entire HPT technical crew continues to crisscross the country together to capture the action for broadcast.

"We have 104 televised events under our belts," said Bevill, "we're looking forward to crowning at least 104 more champions." Founded in 2005, HPT carved a niche in the industry by offering casual players a shot at life-changing money with the glory of national TV. To date, HPT has awarded more than $35 million.

Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. recently acquired Federated Sports & Gaming and Federated Heartland – parent companies of the Heartland Poker Tour. "We are excited to welcome the skilled HPT team to the Pinnacle family and lend our support to enhancing an already popular and established brand," said Ginny Shanks, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Pinnacle Entertainment.

Raymer, a fan favorite, will be in Albuquerque to play the landmark event at Route 66. In 2004, the patent attorney made a name for himself in poker when he won the World Series of Poker Main Event. The following year, Raymer finished 25th in the WSOP Main Event, securing his status as a poker legend. His two-year accomplishment ranks as one of most impressive performances in WSOP history.

Qualifying events are underway at Route 66 Casino for as little as $65. The two-day Main Event, with a $250,000 prize pool guarantee, will kick off on Friday, July 27. Play will continue until a champion is crowned on camera Monday, July 30. During filming of the 200th episode, seats are available in the live audience on a first-come, first-served basis.
