Leading Software Executives to Gather in Chicago for 15th Annual HR Technology Conference(R) and Exposition

Annual International Town Meeting to Connect HR Professionals With Experts Shaping the Future of HR Technology

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Jul 23, 2012) -  Human Resource Executive® magazine, the premier publication focused on strategic issues in HR, today announced that six of the most powerful executives in enterprise software will join together for the first time on any stage at the 15th Annual HR Technology® Conference & Exposition. The all-star panel is just one of the many highlights of the much anticipated international event, taking place October 8-10, 2012 at the West Wing of McCormick Place in Chicago.

Over the past 15 years, the HR Technology® Conference & Exposition has been dedicated to connecting HR executives and practitioners with the technology solutions that can solve their biggest challenges. For 2012, the conference will provide attendees with the unprecedented opportunity to meet with the world's most powerful software executives and HR technology experts and learn about the latest technologies that will advance the effectiveness of the HR function.

The focus of this year's conference will be on the fundamental changes taking place in HR technology as one era ends and another begins. Just as client/server brought about major change in 1989 and web-based applications did so in 2000, the combination of SaaS (cloud computing), social in the enterprise, analytics (including big data) and mobile is again transforming the HR technology landscape. The conference will address these changes and what they mean for today's HR professionals.

During "Bringing HR Into The Cloud - Naomi's Master Panel," the world's leading expert in HR technology and managing partner of Bloom & Wallace, Naomi Lee Bloom, will host a world-class panel of powerful senior industry executives representing the five largest installed bases of HR systems. All are charged with making the technology, business and product decisions for their respective organizations and are instrumental in shaping the future of HR in the cloud.

The following executives will gather together for the first time on any one stage:

In addition to this general session, attendees will also hear an opening keynote from Tom Koulopolous, president and co-founder of Delphi Group and author of Cloud Surfing: A New Way to Think About Risk, Innovation, Scale and Success. During his address, "Rethinking the Cloud in Human Terms," he will explore what the cloud really is and what it means for today's employers. Koulopolous will also offer specific steps organizations can take to maximize the value of the cloud as a platform for attracting, retaining and growing talent.

Delivering the closing keynote, "How HR Can Drive the New Social Business," will be Marcia Conner, best-selling author, industry analyst and expert on collaborative business culture. She will share her expertise on the power of social tools to refocus on people as the pivotal source of prosperity and value in organizations. Conner will also examine emerging trends, their impact on every company and how HR leaders should react.

Other highlights of the conference include "Awesome New Technologies for HR," which will include live demonstrations of the most innovative software and tools emerging from every corner of HR; the "Top HR Products of 2012 Awards Luncheon," where Human Resource Executive® will recognize excellence and innovation in the HR vendor community; and "The Second Annual Candidate Experience Awards," which honor "the best companies to apply to work for."

In addition, participants can attend sessions in a range of tracks, including Strategic View, Talent Management, Workforce Analytics & Planning, HCM & Workforce Management, Recruiting, and new this year, Outsourcing and Social in the Enterprise.

The Outsourcing track will focus on the discrete processes HR buys and uses: RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing), payroll and benefits administration.

"Last year we had a community of 4,600 people, who all cared about the exact same thing: how to get the benefit out of IT for HR. This year will be no different, as HR executives and practitioners come to the conference to get their questions answered from their colleagues and experts," said Bill Kutik, the founding conference co-chair and technology columnist for Human Resource Executive®. "We've assembled the world's best roster of HR experts for the 15th Annual HR Technology® Conference & Exposition, giving attendees the opportunity to meet with the very people responsible for shaping the HR technology they use today and the advancements they'll use in the future."
