Apogee Jets Joins the INC. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Companies

Ranking Reflects Triple-Digit Growth in a Stagnant Global Economy

MIAMI, Aug. 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inc. magazine today ranked Apogee Jets on its sixth annual Inc. 5000 list, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America's independent entrepreneurs. Among 5000 private companies, Apogee Jets ranked 1053, and joins Yelp and yogurt maker Chobani among other prominent brands featured on this year's list.

Apogee Jets, a boutique private jet provider, retained its place on the list by maintaining revenue growth despite the domestic economic downturn and a stagnant global economy.

In its ranking, Inc. reports Apogee Jets had a three year growth rate of 300% and 2011 revenue of $3.6 million.

Apogee Jets, headquartered in Miami, FL and with an office in NYC, ranked 33rd locally and 22nd overall among U.S.-based logistics and transportation companies.

"Apogee Jets is honored to be included on the exclusive list," said Kevin Parrott, Apogee Jets founder and CEO. "In today's stagnant economy, we are most proud of our triple-digit growth despite rising fuel prices and unfavorable global economic conditions. The success of Apogee Jets underscores the increasing role of private aviation in the global air transportation systems. With the clear impediment of today's clogged commercial aviation airspace and the nuisances for travelers at commercial airports worldwide, Apogee Jets realizes bespoke walk-up aviation is the future for executive, family and leisure travel."

Apogee Jets' newest platform, Vacant Vectors (www.vacantvectors.com), is a dedicated multi-lingual site providing up to date discounted one-way or point to point flights commonly referred to as Empty Legs. "This platform, which is also digital via a mobile app for iPhone users, will further our overall private aviation success in the global markets," said Parrott. Charter clients can take full advantage of Empty Leg flights that are up to 50 percent less than a typical round trip charter.

"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is," says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.

Ranking Methodology

The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008.
