Keiretsu Forum Appoints Malcolm Handelsman as President of the Pittsburgh Chapter

Handelsman charged with making Keiretsu Forum Pittsburgh a force with K4's 25 chapter network

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sept. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Keiretsu Forum, the world's largest private equity angel investment network has appointed Malcolm Handelsman as Pittsburgh Chapter President.

This appointment will allow Keiretsu Forum (commonly known as K4)  to contribute to the development of the angel investment community in the metro Pittsburgh area and should allow Keiretsu Forum Mid Atlantic (the regional entity that encompasses K4 chapters in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington, DC) to better serve its members and to provide an additional path for entrepreneurial companies that need angel investing.

"The process of raising capital is incredibly difficult, especially for entities that are in the emerging growth stage - companies that angel investors gravitate towards," said Vince Leusner, co-founder of Keiretsu Forum Mid Atlantic, "and we think that having a strong, well established entity like Keiretsu Forum in the market will help make things a little bit easier for entrepreneurs."

Mr. Handelsman has a long history in the Entrepreneurial community, having owned a small chain of retail children's stores in the Pittsburgh area for over 20 years. Currently, he is the Managing Director of Do It Right, LLC, which helps early stage companies develop and grow their business.  "Our goal is to help strengthen the Angel Investing community, which includes investors, entrepreneurs and trusted advisors. I know how challenging it is to start and build a business, and raising capital is often one of the most challenging facets. I am excited that the Pittsburgh Entrepreneurial community will have access to Angel Investors, not only from the Tri-state area, but also from around the country, through the K4 chapter network. This will help shine a spotlight on Pittsburgh and its entrepreneurial companies."

The next K4 meeting is Friday September 21 at 8 AM at the Law Offices of Schnader Harrison  in downtown Pittsburgh.   If you are an accredited angel investor or an entrepreneur that may be interested in presenting to K4, contact Malcolm  for registration information at MHandelsman@KeiretsuForum-MidAtlantic.com
