U.S. Congressman Visits Linde West Virginia Plant

ARROYO, W. Va., Sept. 17, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The team at the Linde North America air separation plant in Arroyo West Virginia, one of the oldest plants in the company's nationwide network, was visited recently by one of the newest members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman David McKinley, a first-term Representative from the First District of West Virginia which covers Arroyo.

Linde North America is a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company. The Arroyo plant was originally commissioned in 1965 and has gone through a range of subsequent investments over its life to expand and modernize the facility. Representative McKinley was elected to Congress in 2010 and is one of two members in Congress who had careers in engineering.

Joe Sullivan, head of supply-East for Linde North America, came away from the meeting very impressed with Rep. McKinley's technical background and his interest in manufacturing. During his visit, Representative McKinley, who is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, made it clear that he is very interested in revitalizing manufacturing in the Ohio River Valley and generating the jobs that go along with growth in manufacturing industries. He also made clear that his unique background and credentials can make this happen."
