MC Squared Energy Services Donates $15,000 to Support Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Chicagoland & NW Indiana

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Sep 18, 2012) - MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), an Illinois-based retail electricity supplier, has donated $15,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI). Chuck Sutton, president of mc2, recently presented a check to Doug Porter, CEO of RMHC-CNI, to help the organization in its mission to provide a home away from home to keep families of hospitalized children together.

"mc2 has made a significant commitment to our charity over the past four years and their generosity is already making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve," said Porter. "We need support from more companies, like mc2, to help us run our five houses in the Chicagoland area including our newest facility near the Ann and Robert Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago."

Under the banner of "The Power of a Home Away From Home," mc2 announced its support of RMHC-CNI in conjunction with the 2011 launch of its residential electricity supply program in the ComEd service territory. mc2 has been a long time supporter of RMHC-CNI and is a preferred partner of the organization. In addition, mc2 has donated to the charity through its sponsorship of a home run contest through the Kane County Cougars and its 4th annual golf outing, held August 29 at Cantigny Golf Course in Wheaton, Ill.

"mc2 has supported RMHC-CNI through various fundraisers over the last four years that have totaled close to $25,000," explained Sutton. "We strongly believe in their efforts to help families in need and are excited to continue our contributions toward this important cause."

RMHC-CNI strives to fulfill a mission to improve the health, well being and education of children in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area through the operation of four Ronald McDonald Houses®, a Care Mobile, a Ronald McDonald Family Room and a Scholarship Program. Ronald McDonald Houses allow families to eat, sleep and find the emotional support they need, just blocks from where their children are being treated.

mc2's innovative pricing model provides each customer with an online custom price offer based on historical electricity usage. While individual savings will vary, some homeowners could save 25 percent or more when compared to ComEd rates.
