Theatrical Premiere for Sci-Fi Action Film will open at Houston's Alamo Drafthouse Theatre during the Splatterfest Film Festival, Oct. 4, 2012

Dallas, TX, Sept. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- "Patient Zero," the sci-fi thriller that marks the beginning of the worldwide Zombie Apocalypse, will enjoy a theatrical premiere showcase on October 4, 2012 at the Splatterfest Film Festival in Houston's Alamo Drafthouse Theatre.  The highly anticipated prequel to director Brian T. Jaynes hit feature, "Humans Vs. Zombies" shows the genesis of "the beginning of the end," and how genetic experimentation lead to the creation of Patient Zero, the first infectious zombie.  "Patient Zero" will also be released onto DVD September 25, by independent distributor Hannover House (OTC Markets: HHSE).

Brian Jaynes will be present at the Splatterfest event to conduct a Q&A with audience members after the screening.  Some of the film's cast members are also expected to attend.  Cast members for "Patient Zero" include Carl Savering, Natalie Wilemon, Jackey Hall, Frederic Doss and Van Quattro.  Popular actor Anthony Michael Hall ("The Dark Knight", "Edward Scissorhand") is also scheduled to be attending Splatterfest this year.

"Patient Zero" was produced and directed by Brian T. Jaynes, who also performed primary Visual Effects duties for the film.  Production companies were Origin Cinema Group, Monument Motion Pictures and Studio 3 Entertainment.

The theatrical screening of "Patient Zero" will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at the Alamo Drafthouse Theatres, 531 South Mason Road, Katy, TX, 77450.  Theatre telephone is (281) 492-6900.  Katy, TX is a westside suburb of Houston.  Tickets may be ordered directly from the theatre or from Splatterfest by visiting their websites:  www.drafthouse.com/houston, or www.Splatterfest.com

"Patient Zero" is the third, consecutive Brian T. Jaynes production that Hannover House has successfully distributed to major mass merchants and video retailers, including Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.  Prior Jaynes titles distributed by Hannover House include "Boggy Creek: The Legend is True" and "Humans Vs. Zombies," both of which have enjoyed multiple months of presence at Wal-Mart and other major outlets since their releases earlier this year.  Additionally, Hannover House entered into an agreement earlier this year with Origin Cinema Group for an additional four new features from Brian Jaynes, two of which are currently in production.
