MTBC Launches Webinar Series on Accountable Care Organizations

Somerset, NJ, Oct. 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MTBC, a leading EHR and practice and revenue cycle management company, recently hosted the first of a series of complimentary webinars regarding the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) model.  Thiswebinar series is aimed at educating the healthcare industry regarding the intricacies of this new model, including how providers can benefit from joining or establishing an ACO.

Michael Beggs, MTBC Vice President, Client Relations, explained, "The influx of questions we've received regarding ACOs is astounding.  Health care providers are incredibly excited about the potential benefits of the ACO paradigm."

"ACOs are always a topic of conversation whenever I meet with our clients," said Amritpal Deol, MTBC Vice President, Client Relations, and co-presenter of the webinar.  "While providers are optimistic regarding the potential benefits of ACOs, they still require more information and that's where we come in.  Our series will help address many of the questions that providers have regarding ACOs and will empower them to decide whether to pursue this model."

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act enshrined the ACO model into Medicare's reimbursement regulations.  Under the ACO model, providers are encouraged to better coordinate care and share accountability. Providers receive additional financial remuneration if they succeed at reducing Medicare's costs and improving patient care.

MTBC's technology and solutions serve as a solid platform for ACOs. "Our proprietary, technology-driven solutions and resources help providers reduce administrative expenses, increase practice revenues and enhance workflows," said David Rosenblum, MTBC Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Additional details regarding the webinar series will be made available on MTBC's website.  To watch a complimentary recording of the Accountable Care Organizations webinar, please click here.
