NVOCC Launches New Services to and From Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil

RED BANK, N.J., Oct. 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Troy Container Line, one of the world's largest American-owned NVOCCs, today announced new LCL services to and from South America. An integral part of the company's mission to provide direct LCL capabilities worldwide, the weekly service will begin with a maiden voyage out of New York on October 18, 2012, and includes Argentinian destinations Buenos Aires, Rosario and Cordoba, as well as Montevideo, Uruguay and Santos, Brazil.

Supporting its commitment to provide the utmost in personal care and service, Troy Container Line will work with Argentinian-based MSL on the launch and development of the South American services. With more than 20 offices based in South America and a 17-year track record in the industry, MSL shares Troy's solutions-finding approach to international shipping and will work with the company on both import consolidation and export services.

"The new services to and from South America exemplify Troy Container Line's charge to offer direct shipping solutions to customers worldwide. In addition to our strong lateral reach, we now are focusing our efforts on expanding throughout the Americas to offer our customers the best, most direct and reliable services from one global provider," said Patricia L. Fitzgerald, Chief Operating Officer of Exports at Troy Container Line.

Troy Container Line's maiden voyage to Argentina marks the first venture by the international NVOCC in the South American market. After more than 28 years in the shipping industry, the company continues to expand its standing as a global provider of maritime-transportation solutions.

"The expansion of Troy Container Line's LCL services to and from South America is yet another example of how our company continues to competitively elevate its position in the marketplace," commented Christopher Hellow, Chief Operating Officer of Imports. "Growing the reach of our import consolidation services, while also sustaining and building export business with MSL, creates an ideal scenario for both Troy and MSL's international customer base."

Both Fitzgerald and Hellow were instrumental in developing the new services to and from South America with MSL and look forward to offering an enhanced level of customer service to Troy Container Line's growing client base.
