AutoNavi Launches China's First Map Application for Windows 8

AMAP App Expands its Coverage to Include All Major Operating Systems


BEIJING, Oct. 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AutoNavi Holdings Limited ("AutoNavi" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:AMAP), a leading provider of digital map content and navigation and location-based solutions in China, today announced that it launched its AMAP map application ("app") for Windows 8 on October 23 to coincide with Microsoft's global launch of Windows 8, which kicked off in Shanghai, China on the same date. The app was one of a few select applications displayed during the Windows 8 China launch event.

AutoNavi's customized map app, AMAP, offers a fast, accurate and easy-to-use mapping experience to Windows 8 users, taking advantage of many of the significant enhancements to the operating system's user interface. Key features of the app include a 3D view, location sharing, location alerts and split-screen capability that enables users to perform other functions while still viewing their map.
