Maryland's Kevin Anderson to Be a Keynote Speaker at PACnet '13 Conference

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 6, 2012) -  Paciolan, an industry-leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions to more than 500 live entertainment organizations, including 105 college athletics institutions, announced today that University of Maryland Athletic Director, Kevin Anderson, will be a keynote speaker at its annual PACnet community conference to be held Feb. 10-13, 2013 at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa in Newport Beach, Calif. Anderson will deliver his keynote on Monday, Feb. 11, immediately after opening remarks from Paciolan Founder, Jane Kleinberger, and CEO, Dave Butler.

"Paciolan's PACnet conference provides the perfect interactive forum for both senior executives and operational staff to engage and collaborate with hundreds of their peers for professional growth," said Kevin Anderson, athletic director for the University of Maryland. "The empowering setting encourages innovation and the development of new strategies that can help athletics and entertainment organizations build revenue and achieve success by leveraging Paciolan's ticketing, marketing, CRM and fund development tools."

As athletic director for the University of Maryland, Anderson helped launch the Terrapins on their path to success, and instituted an inclusive management style that combines a passion for providing a quality experience for Maryland's student-athletes with a thoughtful business acumen that has him managing the Terrapins' $59 million budget and more than 180 employees. His leadership skills are also prominent nationally, as he was elected president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) in June 2012. He previously served as the vice president of the organization. Anderson was hired in September 2010 as athletics director at Maryland after serving since 2004 in the same post at the U.S. Military Academy.

"We're honored to have such an accomplished college athletics leader as Kevin Anderson keynote PACnet '13," said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. "Athletics directors and senior associate ADs bring a wealth of real-world experience and industry best practices to our conferences -- proven strategies they openly share with attending organizations to help them achieve success, a central theme for our all our PACnet conferences."

Last year at PACnet '12, Paciolan hosted its largest conference with a record 600 clients, partners and company staff in attendance, a 33 percent increase over 2011. For PACnet '13, the company intends to break this record with an anticipated increase in attendees, who will participate in educational sessions covering social media and marketing, CRM, ticketing and fundraising -- all aimed at helping them sell more and maximize revenue streams. Sessions are uniquely geared to each of the markets the company serves, including college athletics, performing arts, pro sports, museums, and arenas.
