Allied Electronics Donates $10,000 to Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On November 2, 2012, Allied Electronics donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to support relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the largest Atlantic tropical system on record. Hurricane Sandy brought strong winds and dangerous flooding to the East Coast, from the Mid-Atlantic states to New England, which has affected Allied employees, suppliers and customers. While some Allied sales offices were closed days following Hurricane Sandy due to power outages and limited resources, no employees were harmed.

"Our employees, suppliers and customers are like family," says Lee Davidson, president of Allied. "Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, and we want to help relief efforts in any way possible."

Allied is committed to being a contributing corporate citizen, and in recent years, it has made multiple contributions to nonprofit organizations such as United Way, American Cancer Society and Battered Women's Foundation.
