The Stockmann Group’s revenue in October was up 4.1 per cent to EUR 226.1 million. Revenue in Finland was up 0.4 per cent and revenue in international operations was up 8.1 per cent.
The Department Store Division’s revenue grew by 4.5 per cent thanks to the successful Crazy Days campaign which achieved a revenue growth of 8 per cent in total. The month’s revenue in Finland was up 1.4 per cent. Revenue in international operations was up 10.5 per cent. The euro-denominated revenue in Russia increased by 16.2 per cent in the department stores and by 11.4 per cent in total, when including the Bestseller franchising stores which will be closed down by the end of 2012.
The Fashion Chain Division’s revenue grew by 3.0 per cent; down 7.5 per cent in Finland and up 5.7 per cent in international operations. Lindex’s euro-denominated revenue was up 5.1 per cent due to the strengthened Swedish krona. In local currencies revenue was down 0.9 per cent. Seppälä’s revenue was down 6.9 per cent. Revenue was up in Estonia but declined in other markets. Stores in Ukraine were closed down during the month.
