-earlier month.

Volvo

Deliveries of Volvo branded trucks in October decreased by 10% to 10,051
vehicles compared with the same month last year.

In Europe, deliveries decreased by 6% to 4,350 trucks in total compared to
October last year. The current slowdown in economic activity and uncertainty
about the future business climate in the region is clearly having a negative
impact on demand for trucks. Decisions have been made to lower production of
Volvo trucks in Europe by removing shifts and using stop days for the remainder
of the year to meet the lower demand seen in the third quarter.

October deliveries in Asia amounted to 1,211 units in total, a decrease of 15%
compared to the same month last year.

October deliveries in North America decreased 14% to 2,144 vehicles in
comparison with the same month last year. Demand in the long-haul segment has
slowed, symptomatic of the continued overall economic uncertainty.

Deliveries for South America decreased 13% in October compared with the same
month last year. The decrease is primarily a result of the slow economic growth
thus far in 2012. However, there are signs that the Brazilian government
stimulus package has gained traction, and demand is improving.

with October 2011, as economic uncertainty continued to affect overall demand
around the world.

Renault Trucks

In October, 5,438 Renault branded trucks were delivered, an increase of 7%
compared to the year-earlier month. In Renault Trucks’ main market, Europe,
deliveries increased by 5%.

Year to date, total deliveries went down by 11%. The current slowdown in
economic activity and uncertainty about the future business climate in Europe is
clearly having a negative impact on demand for trucks. The weakening market
conditions in Southern Europe and France continues. As a consequence, the
production of Renault trucks in Europe, have been adjusted downwards to meet the
lower demand seen in the third quarter and, in addition, as from the end of
November short-term weeks will be introduced in plants producing Renault trucks.

UD

Deliveries from UD Trucks in October totaled 1,551 units, a decline of 29%. The
decline is mainly a consequence of a weakening in the Japanese market after the
incentives to buy new trucks were ended in July.
