CADAM SA Announces Price Increase for Paper Grade Kaolin Clays

MACON, Ga., Nov. 20, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CADAM SA announced today that it will increase prices for kaolin clay products for the global paper industry 4-6% effective January 1, 2013, or as contracts allow. "Despite all efforts to minimize the increases in logistics, chemicals, fuel and energy it is no longer possible to absorb the escalation of costs," stated Ernest Gay, General Manager.  CADAM continues to work diligently on productivity projects and to manage our cost base to offset these inflationary pressures. However, these increases are necessary to recover these additional costs, and to enable us to meet our commitment to create the greatest long term value for our paper customers through continued investments in people and technology.

CADAM also advised that their existing energy surcharge policy will remain in effect.
