RaySearch Laboratories AB has received an order for its RayStation® treatment
planning system from the Lucien Neuwirth Institute of Cancerology (ICLN –
Institut de Cancérologie Lucien Neuwirth) in Saint Priest en Jarez, France.
ICLN is a public hospital specialized in cancer treatment and is part of the
Saint Etienne University Campus. The institute offers state-of-the-art cancer
treatments using chemotherapy and advanced radiation therapy and treats 1,900
patients annually.

The institute will primarily use RayStation® as a complement to the existing
treatment planning system to perform advanced techniques such as adaptive
radiation therapy or planning of IMRT treatments using multi-criteria
optimization.

Mustapha Khodri, Head of the Physics department at ICLN comments: “We are always
seeking to improve our treatments and are very interested in new treatment
techniques. RayStation® offers a wide range of advanced and unique tools with
significant potential to improve the treatment quality and make the workflow
more efficient in the radiotherapy department. We are eager to start operating
the system for clinical use”.

Professor Nicolas Magné, Head of ICLN’s Department of Radiotherapy and Director
of Research and Innovation, says: “Being the first in France to have RayStation®
is a real opportunity to develop our research programs. We aim to produce
results that can be applied immediately in our daily clinical practice and are
looking forward to work together with RaySearch to ensure that our patients get
the very best treatments”.

“We are expanding our European operations and we are very happy to present our
first customer in France. ICLN is one of the best research centers in France.
They are at the forefront of the development of new treatment techniques so we
are thrilled that they selected RayStation® as their tool for advanced treatment
planning applications,” says Johan Löf, CEO of RaySearch Laboratories AB.
