Autonomic is Rapidly Extending FedRAMP Offering With Private Cloud

CARY, N.C., Feb. 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Autonomic Resources, a Government Cloud Service Provider (CSP) with a FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO), announced today their initiative to make available private cloud stacks to agencies within the ARC-P platform offering for U.S. Government customers. The ARC-P cloud solution has gained wide interest and acceptance since the December 2012 FedRAMP authorization announcement.

Autonomic Resources has earned a FedRAMP provisional Authority to Operate, a demonstration that Autonomic meets the mandatory security requirements for cloud services housing Federal information. U.S. Government Agencies will soon be able to consume, on a utility basis, single tenant Private Cloud utilizing the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) platform. As the only Red Hat Certified Cloud Provider (CCP) currently with a FedRAMP certification, Autonomic is expanding the choices that agencies have in secure cloud services. "The ARC-P platform will continue to deliver options to agencies in secure cloud compute; offering private clouds is the next logical step in these offerings," noted Autonomic Resources' Founder and President John Keese. "Agencies will be able to spin up private cloud utilizing operating dollars and avoiding the capital budget request process to build private cloud on-premise. Procurement times will be cut by 3-6 months in most cases, and allow agencies to gain specific compute needs only found in a private cloud format."

The Autonomic Resources Cloud-Platform (ARC-P) provides U.S. Government customers with a government community Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud offering providing both managed and unmanaged virtual machines. Autonomic does not service any non U.S. Government entities with cloud services and only utilizes highly cleared U.S. citizens for cloud operations.

Autonomic is one of only a few vendors to have met the technical requirements necessary to be awarded two GSA contracts for cloud computing; Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Email as a service (EaaS). Both BPAs demonstrate that Autonomic has met pre-qualified technical and pricing requirements, making the procurement process fast, flexible, and cost-effective for U.S. government agencies. Further, the Autonomic EaaS is already in FedRAMP processing, which will ensure their ability to rapidly enable their email platform offerings for government use.
