The Georgia Association of REALTORS(R) Announces 2013 Officers and Regional Directors


ATLANTA, Feb. 6, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Deb Junkin, RCE, Chief Executive Officer of the Georgia REALTORS® (GAR), has announced the organization's 2013 leadership team. REALTOR® leaders were officially sworn in on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the President's Inaugural Gala at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta. The Gala was part of the GAR Inaugural Meeting & Legislative Conference.

Robin Lance of Savannah will serve as 2013 GAR President. She is a member of the Savannah Board of REALTORS® and is an Associate Broker of Prudential Coastal Georgia Properties, where she has worked for more than 30 years. Lance holds the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation as well as the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation.

Linda Carol Porterfield of Athens will serve as President-Elect. Porterfield is a member of the Athens Area Association of REALTORS® and is an associate with Keller Williams Realty Greater Athens. She holds the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation as well as the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation.

Bill Boatman of Augusta will serve as Immediate Past President; Jim Smith of Macon will serve as Vice President of Administration and Finance; Ryan Brashear of Augusta will serve as Vice President of Governmental Affairs; Michael Faulkner of Fayetteville will serve as Vice President of Public and Member Services; and Sheila Brower of Atlanta will serve as Vice President of Professional Development.

Regional Directors for the association are as follows: Region 1, Carol Moson of Marietta; Region 2, Faron King of Hiawassee; Region 3, Todd Tucker of Acworth; Region 4, Stephen Walker of Fayetteville; Region 5, Joey Tucker of Athens; Region 6, Danny Amberson of Fortson; Region 7, Vickie Giles-Griffin of Albany; Region 8, Ruth Heyward of St. Simons Island; and Region 9, Tim Adams of Savannah.
