AS Ekspress Grupp: Sales in January

The Group’s sales in January increased by 2% compared to the same period previous year. Considering the weak advertising market at the beginning of the year, it is a significant result. Again, the online media showed the largest growth increasing by 12% compared to the same period last year. The best result was achieved by Delfi Lithuania. This was supported by various portals launched last year, also the purchase of the classifieds portal Alio. In the periodicals segment, the advertising revenues decreased in all companies.  Maaleht was the only publication able to surprise with a growth.  However, all in all the periodicals segment still increased the sales by significant 4.3%. This was supported by single copy sales of the newspapers and the sales growth from the Estonian Film Classics DVD series, as well as an additional publication of the weeklies. The continuing DVD series of Estonian Film Classics will be ongoing until the end of February. The sales of the printing services decreased by 3.5%, however the printing services percentage increased by 3%.
