Leading Transportation Company Awards Multi-Million Dollar Console Contract: CSX Selects Avtec's Scout With Frontier(TM) Solution for Large, Multi-State Project


GILBERT, S.C., Feb. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avtec and CSX Technology have entered into a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract to migrate all of the Class One Railroad's main-line dispatching centers to Avtec's Scout pure-IP radio console with Enterprise Management capabilities. The project will culminate in hundreds of console positions controlling over 1,000 RoIP (Radio over Internet Protocol) radio base stations in 23 states, Washington D.C., and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Specific terms of the contract were not disclosed.
