Drum Army Base in Watertown, NY, which included over 155,000 lbs of Rubber Flooring throughout 10 weight rooms, crossfit training and artificial turf speed training areas. Like many of Kodiak Sports facilities, the space incorporates a rubber floor that incorporates a functional training area made of artificial turf that is 15' x 100' long. The artificial turf area is used for sprints, sled pulls, speed/agility work and plyometric training, which helps the soldiers with strength, conditioning, agility, flexibility and core strength exercises.
For this particular project, Kodiak supplied more than 3,000 Kodiak Hammerlock interlocking rubber flooring tiles to a total of 10 gyms. The Kodiak Hammerlock product is a vulcanized rubber tile capable of withstanding sustained impacts from kettle bells and other free weights, making it a great choice for high use military Crossfit gyms and weight rooms.
