EnergySolutions Hires Experienced Federal Government Relations Executive


SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - Feb 22, 2013) - EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE: ES) announced today the hiring of Victoria Napier as Senior Vice President of Federal Government Relations. Victoria will be responsible for managing Federal government relations and working with the executive team on corporate strategies.

Ms. Napier's distinguished career includes positions at the White House and state agencies. Victoria also spent three years with the U.S. Department of Energy, originally as a senior policy adviser to the Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management, and later as chief of staff, overseeing a $7.1 billion budget and 42 active DOE sites across the country.

Ms. Napier's work experience includes the Office of Presidential Personnel at the White House as a liaison with the Office of Homeland Security, Department of Agriculture (USDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB), and Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). She also served as White House special assistant to the Secretary for the Department of the Interior.

On the state level, she served as deputy chief of staff for Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn. She also served as the lead representative to such federal agencies including FEMA, DOE, DOI, DOD, DOJ and the EPA.

Ms. Napier has previously served as a mentor for the American University in Washington, D.C. and earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and international affairs from the University of Nevada/Reno.
