Innofactor Board of Directors decided in its meeting on February 25, 2013 to appoint Heikki Jekunen (M.Sc.) to Innofactor Executive Board to head Innofactor´s software and services business. The Board of Directors will also propose to the annual general meeting that Ilari Nurmi (M.Sc.) be nominated as a new member to the Board of Directors. Both Jekunen and Nurmi represent leading international software product business expertise in Finland.
Heikki Jekunen (born 1958) was previously the head of Tellabs’ product development in Finland for a period of 8 years. During this time, he acquired broad expertise in software product business for high-standard products developed to the international market. Before his 14 year career at Tellabs, Jekunen worked as a CEO of Tecnomen System Solutions Ltd. for 5 years. “Markets of software products are in strong transition as cloud computing prevails. Innofactor has a very interesting opportunity to succeed in this change. It is a pleasure to join the dynamic Innofactor team to develop world class software”, says Jekunen.
Ilari Nurmi (born 1975) works as Senior Vice President, Product Management, and member of executive team at Basware, being in charge of Basware’s product and service offering. Prior to this, Nurmi worked for 14 years at Nokia in several different roles, mainly leading product marketing and product management activities. Most recently, he was Vice President, Product Marketing, with responsibility for product marketing of Nokia’s smartphones. “Innofactor has an interesting growth story already behind, and ahead there is a big opportunity in going global with own software product expertise. I‘m happy to use my experience to the benefit of Finnish companies,” says Nurmi.
