Gotti SWITZERLAND Debuts New Eyewear Styles for Spring and Summer

The Swiss Brand Introduces Custom Buffalo Horn and Natural Wood Styles, and Expands Its Acetate and Titanium Collections

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Award-winning eyewear brand götti SWITZERLAND introduces a variety of optical and sunglass styles for spring and summer. New frames include custom-made buffalo horn mixed with natural wood, and a more expansive acetate and titanium collection. Retail prices range from $310 - $1,556 (customized horn frames are $2,470). Frames can be purchased at high-end optical shops around the country.

Eyewear made of buffalo horn is closely connected to the genesis of götti SWITZERLAND, since it was the first pair of frames designed by founder Sven Götti back in 1998. This month, the Company debuts five unisex optical styles, including Belize and Balou, each blending raw buffalo horn with elegant walnut and maple wood. Most stages of production can't be accomplished with a machine, so artisans thoroughly hand-finish and polish each frame by hand. Each frame is one-of-a-kind, and can be customized to fit perfectly on the nose and around the ears, thereby minimizing red marks and headaches. The entire production process take approximately 6 weeks, making these frames the ultimate in luxury and heirloom eyewear. Retail price for the buffalo horn collection ranges from $1,556 - $2,470.

Götti SWITZERLAND is also launching additional unisex optical acetate styles. The latest models, including Aysha and Amey, have bolder shapes with thin rims. They also consist of a keyhole nose bridge evoking a more vintage-inspired look. Retail price for the new acetate collection ranges from $386 - $462.

And just in time for spring, Götti SWITZERLAND adds unisex sunglass styles to its titanium collection, including Patch and Pit. Not only are these frames extremely lightweight, but they also include the brand's proprietary "Spin&Stow" technology, enabling the temples to rotate completely so the eyewear can fold flat in a small case. Sleek shapes and a comfortable saddle bridge make these styles standout. Götti SWITZERLAND also provides innovative protection with its sunglass lenses. The nylon lenses have an anti-reflective coating on the inside, providing additional protection to the wearer. Retail price for the new titanium sunglass styles is $310.

20th Anniversary

Götti SWITZERLAND and designer Sven Götti will celebrate the company's 20th anniversary with an elaborate exhibition entitled, 93/13, at the birthplace of the eyewear brand in Lucerne. The anniversary celebration will kick off with a big party on March 25. Friends and customers from around the world are expected to attend.
