EMRISE Corporation Names Martin Blake Managing Director of UK-Based Pascall Electronics Subsidiary

Brings International Experience in High Technology Product Development, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales and Marketing


DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 28, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EMRISE CORPORATION (OTCBB:EMRI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, announced today that veteran engineering, product development and operations executive Martin Blake has been named Managing Director of Pascall Electronics, Ltd., a UK-based subsidiary that is part of the Company's Electronic Devices business segment.

Blake has spent more than 35 years in the global electronics market building a depth of engineering, operations, sales and marketing experience. He assumes the role of Managing Director of Pascall from Richard Weller, who has served in the dual capacity as Managing Director of both Pascall and Xcel Power Systems, Ltd. Blake reports to Richard Weller who remains Managing Director of Xcel.

For the past two years, Blake has been a management consultant providing a variety of services in the areas of business strategy, risk management, and product/market analysis. Previously, Blake spent six years as Managing Director of Elma Electronics Ltd., the UK arm of the Switzerland-based Elma Group, where his primary role was developing Elma's UK operation and its custom engineering business in the Defense and Electronics markets.

From 2001-2004, Blake was Business Development Manager of UK-based Mektron Systems Ltd., now Elma-Mektron, where he led the company's commercial efforts with high-end industrial and aerospace/defense contractors. From 1998-2001, Blake was Chief Technical Officer/VP Engineering of APW Inc., a UK-based electronics products and services company.

Blake is a chartered engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He earned a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Bath.
