Publication in accordance with Paragraph 37q Abs.2. Satz 1 WpHG
 
The German Financial Reporting Enforcement Panel has reviewed the Annual
Report of UBS Preferred Funding (Jersey) Ltd. for the year ending 31
December 2011 and has determined that the report contains an error:
 
Preferred securities amounting to 995 mio EUR are presented in the
statement of financial position as equity. This does not comply with IAS 32
paragraph 11 ff. Because of the issuing conditions of the non-cumulative
perpetual preferred securities there is a contractual obligation to pay out
distributions, if certain conditions are met. The preferred securities
therefore have to be accounted as liability.
