ASLMS Teams Up With North American Association for Laser Therapy (NAALT)

WAUSAU, Wis., March 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Laser 2013 will include a special session conducted by the North American Association for Laser Therapy (NAALT), Saturday, April 6, as part of the 33rd Annual Conference of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS), April 3-7, 2013, Boston, MA.

The purpose of the session is to present clinical cases that will complement the other photobiomodulation sessions at Laser 2013 by presenting a wide variety of medical conditions that can be treated using lasers instead of prescription medications, more importantly, how this form of laser therapy compliments surgical laser procedures with faster healing, less pain and improved clinical outcomes.

"The program will allow clinicians to see how low level lasers (Photobiomodulation) can be implemented into a practice to give better clinical results, reduce post-op pain and be a true win-win situation. In addition you [attendees] will be exposed to some of the cutting edge research utilizing lasers in treating brain injuries. By the end of the program you [attendees] will understand how the lasers work, what wavelengths can give the best results and how to apply them clinically," noted Gerald R. Ross, D.D.S., Session Director. Dr. Ross owns a private dental practice in Tottenham, Ontario in which he has incorporated the use of lasers in patient care since 1992. He is also the Immediate Past President of NAALT.

Conference registration is $490 for members or applicants, $525 for active members of the U.S. military and $750 for non-members. Students and residents are admitted free of charge.
