ZetaDisplay: Welcome to Nordic ZetaDay 2013

Sweden, 2013-04-03 13:50 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

E-commerce is becoming more and more common, and is now an important part of retailing. Shopping via the Internet is opening new possibilities for customers. And it’s quick, easy and handy. Add to this the fact that customers are seeking more value for money, are spending more time on line to prepare for their purchases, and that social media has become more important for the purchasing process.

This is why Multi Channel Communication is the focus for this year’s Nordic ZetaDay. There you will be able to share in the experiences and knowledge of this area, as presented by the foremost representatives of the retail sector.

What then does the future look like? Will development lead to the disappearance of retail stores? No – most probably not! Quite the opposite, as experience shows that the customers who shop through several different channels are more loyal and spend more than others. Also, those retailers who offer the option of E-trading benefit from increased total sales.

The winner are thus those retailers who succeed in combining their sales through both channels, at the same time creating a unified experience for their customers, regardless of the channel. This means that the border between E-commerce and traditional retail stores must meld, and that new requirements arise in respect of how customer communication is handled.

Participants in the programme for Nordic ZetaDay 2013 include, among many others, Jens Nordfält with his long experience of research into retail trading and Sofie Löwenhielm who is Google’s Retail Industry Manager.

The day will be rounded off by a panel debate on the theme “What is the future for retail stores?”

How can one in the future communicate with customers in order to face the changes in customer behaviour? What is the optimal mix between retail and E-commerce? Will stores that shy away from E-commerce survive? Why do we need shops? Leading experts discuss their experience and current research. They also present their personal visions of future retail stores.

The initiative for Nordic ZetaDay comes from ZetaDisplay AB (publ), which is the leading Nordic supplier of media platforms for Digital Signage and Digital Displays, Tablet PCs and Smart Phones as applied to the retail and service trades.

“The communication with customers in stores is becoming ever more important for the retail and service sectors, while the level of investment in digital active media is increasing. This creates a desire for more knowledge among the major players in the market, who need to select the right media channels and be able to use them efficiently. Therefore we want to share experience from both companies and researchers,” explains Leif Liljebrunn, ZetaDisplay AB (publ) Group Manager.

Nordic ZetaDay is now being arranged for the fifth successive year, and is expected as in previous years to attract a large number of representatives from retailing, media agencies and major brand name suppliers.

ZetaDisplay is a leading supplier of Digital Signage to major chains in the retailing and service sectors of the Nordic market. The company has about 40 employees, and subsidiaries located in Denmark, Norway and Finland.
