SnapLogic Announces Availability of a Snap for Amazon Redshift

Delivers a Seamless, Cost-Effective Integration Solution to Customers and Enables Rapid Insights Into Petabyte-Scale Data Sets

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 4, 2013) - SnapLogic, the leader in enterprise cloud integration, announced the availability of a Snap for Amazon Redshift that enables customers to easily integrate data from multiple sources into Amazon Redshift for high performance analysis. Amazon Redshift is a fast, fully managed petabyte-scale data warehouse service that is one tenth the price of most traditional data warehouse solutions. SnapLogic is an enterprise cloud integration platform-as-a-service with a track record of addressing complex cloud and on-premises integration challenges with innovative 'Snaps' that enable users to more quickly build, deploy and efficiently manage multiple high-volume, data-intensive integration projects seamlessly.

The Snap for Amazon Redshift is a pre-built connector that enables customers to transfer up to petabytes of data into and out of Amazon Redshift, for a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions. The data can be moved at any latency (batch, read-time, real-time, and via triggers) to meet the requirements of a diverse set of business users. In addition, SnapLogic offers pre-built connectivity to over 150 different data sources including on-premises applications like traditional ERP and Finance applications, as well as social media, mobile and machine data. The Snap easily extracts data from various sources, and formats and loads it into Amazon Redshift, at a significant cost savings for the customer.

"Data is proliferating in structured and unstructured forms at historically high rates, giving rise to the 'Golden Age of Data.'  Amazon Redshift delivers easy-to-use, scalable, sub-$1000 per terabyte per year data warehousing gold," said Niraj Nagrani, vice president of product management at SnapLogic. "Provisioning data between SaaS and on-premise apps helps enterprises become agile and meet IT expectations with cost-effective, mobile, web, and data warehouse solutions."

"We're pleased SnapLogic is integrating their services with Amazon Redshift," said Terry Wise, director of worldwide partner ecosystem, Amazon Web Services. "With SnapLogic's integration platform, Amazon Redshift customers can pull massive volumes of data from multiple sources into Amazon Redshift at a fraction of the cost of a traditional data integration solution."

Enterprises globally are increasingly relying on Business Intelligence tools to gain better information flow, which leads to agility and a competitive edge in decision-making. SnapLogic offers pre-built connectivity to many existing BI tools such as Birst, Anaplan and Tableau, reducing the time to convert raw data into actionable insights. SnapLogic offers the capability to integrate Amazon Redshift data with any other data sources in the cloud, on-premise or in hybrid mode, for more effective decision-making.
