AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. Enters Into Agreement to Acquire CPPNA Holdings, Inc.


NEW YORK, April 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. (Nasdaq:AFSI) (the "Company") announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire CPPNA Holdings, Inc. ("CPPNA") for approximately $40 million from UK- based CPPGroup PLC (LSE:CPP). The purchase of CPPNA is expected to close during the second quarter of 2013. Over the next year, we anticipate CPPNA will produce approximately $70 million in fee revenue.

CPPNA is headquartered in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. CPPNA provides administrative services for consumer protection products including identity theft protection and warranties related to credit card purchases. CPPNA offers administrative services to 750,000 active policy members that are customers of CPPNA's financial services partners.
