New World Systems to Provide Integrated Solutions for Consolidating Governments

TROY, Mich., May 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The consolidating governments of the City of Macon and Bibb County, Ga. have selected New World Systems' integrated suite of Logos.NET™ Public Administration solutions to replace two aging systems and help bring the City and County operations together. New World's software will help the new Macon-Bibb County improve planning and budgeting and enhance the new government's ability to provide service to the combined constituency of more than 200,000 residents.

A selection committee made up of representatives from the City of Macon and Bibb County conducted an extensive evaluation of software and found that New World offered the best solution and resources to meet their project goals.

"We were severely challenged with our technology," said Tom Buttram, Director of Inspections and Chairman of the Selection Committee. "The consolidation provided the impetus for change. We needed a single integrated repository to combine our two sets of data and the ability to share information across departmental lines. New World offered the functionality we need and the staffing and experience to meet our accelerated implementation schedule."

New World is providing the consolidating governments with Logos.NET Financial Management, Payroll and Human Resources, Community Development, eSuite and Business Analytics software built on the Microsoft.NET™ platform. The software, with advanced workflow, will eliminate many manual processes and reduce redundant data entry and paperwork. Perfect for consolidating organizations, New World's seamless integration between applications and everyday Microsoft Office software will improve reporting and access to information across all Macon-Bibb County departments. Government officials are also looking forward to having Community Development software that will help the newly formed government keep up with planning and contractors.

The first applications of the new software are scheduled to go live when the governments officially become Macon-Bibb County on January 1, 2014.

Trusted by more than 1,000 public sector organizations nationwide, New World Systems designs, develops, markets, supports and implements the integrated Logos™ Public Administration Suite for local governments and the Aegis™ Suite of Public Safety Solutions for Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS.
