Leading Minds in Middle Market M&A Sector Gather for 15th Annual Conference in Chicago July 9-11

The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors Bring Together High-Level Middle Market Leaders and Experts From Across the Globe for Their Annual Summer Conference

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 22, 2013) - The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (The Alliance) will be holding its 15th annual summer conference featuring the most prominent names and thought leaders in middle market M&A, investment banking and private equity sectors. As the leading professional association for the middle market sector (300,000 companies with sales between $5 million and $500 million), The Alliance provides certification, education and a number of events throughout the country connecting companies with the capital and resources they need to maximize business value. More than 400 middle market leaders are expected at this year's seminal industry event at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago July 9-11, which is anticipated to be the "must attend" industry event of the year.

The conference's keynote speaker will be the highly noted Professor Steven Rogers, a Senior Lecturer in General Management at the Harvard Business School and an award-winning teacher at the Kellogg School of Management, who currently partners in four venture capital firms, sits on three corporate boards, including SC Johnson Wax, as well as on several entrepreneurial and nonprofit boards. He has also been recognized for his powerful influence on entrepreneurship by Fortune Magazine, and was named as one of the top 12 entrepreneurship professors by BusinessWeek

During the conference, Professor Rogers will speak to the importance of strategic thinking and entrepreneurship in growth through acquisitions. The session will also touch on how different buyers -- from individuals to private equity investors to Fortune 500 companies -- think about acquisitions of middle market companies as part of their long-term strategies. In an environment with insufficient qualified deal flow, Professor Rogers' insights into how business leaders can think and act strategically to maximize business value will be essential to this most critical market sector.

Other topics/sessions from other leading experts for the conference include:

  • Future Outlook: Likely Impact of the JOBS Act for M&A Professionals
  • Making the Intangibles Count
  • Mid-Market Update
  • So Much Capital - Which Fits Best for Your Deal
  • Rearranging GDP: How Government Policies Effect Incentives
  • Financing Deals
  • Deal Psychology in Closing a Deal
  • 33 Flavors and How to Take Advantage of the Independent Ones
  • Long Term Capital Investors - All in the Family
  • M&A Strategy for Corporate Growth
  • Deal Bash: two hours of networking tabled by screened middle market Intermediaries/Investment bankers, all bearing deals and transaction opportunities

"Since the emerging middle market is constantly changing and evolving, the conference will not only provide companies with the resources, training and valuable insights that they need for today, but will also provide them with the progressive thinking and foresight that they'll need to remain competitive for the future," said Michael Nall, Alliance Founder and M&A industry veteran. "The conference will also drive business value in assisting professionals with making valuable connections with crucial players and decisions makers at the highest level of leadership for deal-making and transaction opportunities."

During the conference, The Alliance will announce the opening of nominations for the 2013 Middle Market Thought Leader of the Year Award. The Middle Market Thought Leader of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates the published works (research, case studies, books and/or other intellectual capital) that have added significant, game-changing value and insights to the historically underserved middle marketplace.
