Alexandra Caceres Named New General Manager of Extended Stay Miami Airport Hotel

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - May 31, 2013) - Alexandra Caceres has been named General Manager of the Residence Inn Miami Airport, a premier Miami extended-stay hotel, bringing with her appointment 15 years of Marriott brand experience that has taken her across the United States from coast to coast. Accepting the leadership role at the distinctive Residence Inn Miami Airport hotel, Caceres is well prepared to oversee all aspects of the Miami airport hotel suites.

Beginning her career in hospitality management in 1998 at the Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel as a sales manager, Caceres worked her way into Senior Sales Manager during her four-year tenure at the property and was responsible for four vertical markets for the 800-room convention center hotel and managed West Coast Corporate and association accounts, including conventions and house groups of up to 750 rooms on peak night.

Transferring to the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in 2002 as a Senior Account Executive, she helped the California property earn the prestigious Hotel of the Year Award in 2003. She then joined the team at the Eden Roc, A Renaissance Resort and Spa in Florida in 2005 as Director of Sales and Marketing before relocating again to Georgia in 2006 as Director of Sales at the stylish Renaissance Waverly Hotel.

After criss-crossing the United States for Renaissance, Caceres remained in the southeastern region of the United States, and in 2008 was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Miami Biscayne Bay Marriott in Florida. In 2010 she joined the Miami Airport Marriott Campus, which includes three Marriott-branded hotels near Miami International Airport -- the Miami Airport Marriott, Courtyard Miami Airport and the Residence Inn Miami Airport, as Director of Sales and Marketing and for the past two years has held the position of Director of Operations at the Miami Airport Marriott.

A1995 graduate of the UK's Bournemouth University, Caceres holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality Management and when away from the Marriott's impressive all-suite accommodation near Miami airport she enjoys spending time with her husband David and family and friends. Her favorite pastimes are reading, dining out and traveling.
