kCura Releases Relativity 8

Newest Version of E-Discovery Software Includes Email Threading, Improved Speed and Performance, and Important Enhancements to Relativity Assisted Review and Processing

CHICAGO, June 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- kCura, developers of the e-discovery software Relativity, today announced the launch of Relativity 8. This latest version of the platform adds key feature improvements—including email threading; faster search speeds; easier calculation of precision, recall, and F1 in Relativity Assisted Review; and the ability to process EnCase Logical Evidence Files.

"We're really excited about Relativity 8," said Andrew Sieja, president and CEO of kCura. "We want our users to count on Relativity everyday as their workhorse, and we are committed to continually improving the software, making it faster, more fully featured, and more reliable."

Highlights of Relativity 8 include enhancements to the following:

Performance

Significant changes to search architecture decrease index build times by up to 70 percent and can return search results up to 20 times faster. Additionally, back-end structural improvements have increased doc-to-doc loads while reducing server utilization.

Relativity Analytics

Analytics now includes email threading, near-duplicate detection, language identification, and automatic detection of repeated content to help users build high-quality analytics indexes.

Relativity Assisted Review

We've added more flexibility to Assisted Review, allowing you to use previously coded documents as a seed set, and providing the option to use a control set in your projects to calculate precision, recall, and F1. Management of Assisted Review projects is made easier with more automation, and real-time review and system status.

Usability

A new Favorites feature changes the way you can navigate within Relativity. An overhauled image viewer is easier to use, more fluid, and includes new redactions capabilities, including full-page and inverse redactions. New tokenless two-factor authentication and better Active Directory integration give you more options for secure authorization of Relativity users.

Relativity Processing

You can now process EnCase Logical Evidence Files (L01) directly into Relativity, and a new password bank automatically decrypts files for processing and imaging.

Platform

We've unified the API interfaces, so developers will have a more consistent experience. Additionally, AppDomain isolation allows applications and custom code to run in their own sandboxes
