Johan Dennelind appointed President and CEO of TeliaSonera


The Board of TeliaSonera has appointed Johan Dennelind to the position of
President and CEO. Johan Dennelind has extensive experience from various
positions within the telecommunication industry, most recently having served as
CEO of Vodacom International, based in South Africa. Johan Dennelind will take
on his new position on September 1, 2013 and will be available for the company
from July 1, 2013. Per-Arne Blomquist will remain as acting CEO until September
1 and then return to his role as Executive Vice President and CFO of
TeliaSonera.
The recruitment process has been the Board of Directors’ highest priority and
led by the Remuneration Committee consisting of Chairman Marie Ehrling, Olli
-Pekka Kallasvuo and Mats Jansson. The search criteria for the new candidate has
been strong; extensive leadership skills, experience of developing international
corporations in emerging markets as well as a broad knowledge from the
telecommunication industry.
