HBC Announces Changes in Executive Structure


Bonnie Brooks to Become Vice Chairman

Liz Rodbell Named President

TORONTO, June 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hudson's Bay Company, owner of retailers Hudson's Bay, Home Outfitters and Lord & Taylor announced changes today to the company's executive structure. Bonnie Brooks, President of Hudson's Bay Company, has been appointed Vice Chairman, Hudson's Bay Company. Liz Rodbell, Executive Vice President, Chief Merchant for Hudson's Bay Company, will become President, Hudson's Bay Company.

Both Ms. Brooks and Ms. Rodbell will report to Richard Baker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hudson's Bay Company. The transition, beginning today, will be completed by the company's year-end in January 2014.

"This new structure will continue to drive our long term growth strategy, as we build upon the Company's momentum toward revitalizing its banners and product offerings, and strengthening the customer experience," said Mr. Baker.

In her new role, Ms. Brooks will also act in an advisory capacity to Mr. Baker and the company's Board of Directors. She will continue to provide input into both the Hudson's Bay and Lord & Taylor businesses. 

Ms. Rodbell was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Merchant, of Hudson's Bay Company in February, 2012 where she led the merchant integration of the Lord & Taylor and Hudson's Bay banners and successfully drove a repositioning of the buying group. She joined Lord & Taylor in 1985 and has held management positions of increasing responsibility. Since 1992, she has served as an SVP, GMM over various merchandising assignments, culminating in EVP, Merchandising from 2008 – 2012, before taking on her current responsibilities.
