BOSTON, June 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Innovation District – LogMeIn, Inc., one of Boston's largest cloud software companies, has been named one of the Best Places to Work by the Boston Business Journal for the sixth consecutive year. The honor recognizes LogMeIn's achievements in creating an environment that attracts and retains talented people through a combination of great opportunities, dedicated peers and a unique company culture.
The recognition comes less than three months after LogMeIn opened the doors on its new worldwide headquarters at 320 Summer Street in Boston's Innovation District, becoming the largest high-tech company to be based in the rapidly growing neighborhood. The 100,000-plus square feet facility, a 1904 brick-and-beam warehouse that underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, houses all of LogMeIn's 300-plus local employees, with space to accommodate an expected doubling of the company's local workforce over the next 2-3 years.

More than 400 companies qualified for the eleventh annual regional awards program, which consists of a two-stage nomination process and the results of employee-satisfaction surveys taken throughout March & April. Employees answered questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement and relationships with co-workers and supervisors. The results were analyzed and scored by assigning points to each question.
The top 25 companies in three size categories – small (20-100 employees), midsize (101-500 employees) and large (more than 500 employees) were awarded during a cocktail reception at the iconic Wang Theatre and profiled in a special supplement of the Boston Business Journal.
