we have been informed according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG
(Wertpapierhandelsgesetz, German Securities Trading Act) of the following:

On July 2, 2013, William Manning, United States, has informed us according
to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that his proportion of voting rights
on Brenntag AG, Stinnes-Platz 1, 45472 MÃ¼lheim an der Ruhr, Germany, has
exceeded the 3% threshold of the voting rights on June 12, 2013 and on that
day amounted to 3.01% (this corresponds to 1,552,555 voting rights). 3.01%
of the voting rights (this corresponds to 1,552,555 voting rights) is to be
attributed to him according to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in
connection with sentence 2 of the WpHG.

On July 2, 2013, Manning & Napier, Inc., Wilmington, Delaware, United
States, has informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that
its proportion of voting rights on Brenntag AG, Stinnes-Platz 1, 45472
MÃ¼lheim an der Ruhr, Germany, has exceeded the 3% threshold of the voting
rights on June 12, 2013 and on that day amounted to 3.01% (this corresponds
to 1,552,555 voting rights). 3.01% of the voting rights (this corresponds
to 1,552,555 voting rights) is to be attributed to the company according to
Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with sentence 2 of
the WpHG.

States has informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that

rights on June 12, 2013 and on that day amounted to 3.01% (this corresponds
