WASHINGTON, July 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) congratulates Ford Motor Company – a longstanding partner -for its recent recognition as America's most trusted brand in 2013 by YouGov's BrandIndex. The index measures brand perception among the public, simultaneously tracking global corporations across multiple sectors. The accolade is a result of BrandIndex's survey of over 600,000 consumers nationwide, who were asked about their positive and negative perceptions of various American companies.
"For over a century, Ford Motor Company has been one of the world's most iconic brands. It comes as no surprise that this honor is being presented to Ford following its most profitable quarter in over a decade. Ford's success has been measured by its worldwide expansion, innovation, and now by its 1st place ranking as the most trusted brand in the United States," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "Ford's success is grounded in its unwavering commitment to building quality products, utilizing a diverse supply chain and cultivating unrivaled consumer loyalty. The USHCC is proud to call Ford Motor Company a true friend of our Association."
Ford's Focus model is driving the company's largest profit gains since 2000, with a reported US market share of 15.9%, Ford's success is also due in part to its decision to invest in advertising, with its most notable effort being its "And Is Better" TV commercials that successfully debuted this year to promote its Ford Focus and Ford Fusion models.
"The USHCC is delighted to celebrate the well-deserved success of one of our best corporate advocates" said Marc Rodriguez, USHCC Chairman of the Board. "We congratulate Ford for its recent achievements in the marketplace and look forward to celebrating their next great breakthrough."
"Our commitment to Hispanic consumers offering fuel efficient vehicles with technology and quality that enrich their lives is an important part of being the most trusted company in the United States," said David Mondragón, general marketing manager for Ford and Lincoln. "Ford's work with The USHCC is paramount in creating a strong connection with the Hispanic community making our brand a leader people trust. We are honored by this recognition."
