MainStreet Bank Reports a Profitable Second Quarter


FAIRFAX, Va., July 19, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MainStreet Bank (OTCQB:MNSB) reported a profitable second quarter with net income of $374,000. The Bank's book value per share was $9.68 as of June 30, 2013. The closing share price as of June 30, 2013 was $7.60, which was up 63% from the June 30, 2012 closing share price.

"We have initiated several measures to improve our operating efficiency, and those efficiencies should start to become apparent in our financials in the 3rd quarter," stated Chairman, CEO & President Jeff W. The Bank reports total assets of $265.5 million, gross loans of $223.8 million and total deposits of $238 million. The Bank remains very well capitalized.
