On August 2, 2013, BlackRock, Inc., New York, NY, USA, informed us in
accordance with Art. 21 par. 1 WpHG that its share of the voting rights in
ThyssenKrupp AG, Duisburg and Essen, Germany, ISIN DE0007500001, exceeded
the 5% threshold on July 30, 2013. At this date the share of the voting
rights amounts to 5.001% (which equates to 25,729,379 voting rights). All
of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock, Inc. in accordance with
Art. 22 par. 1 sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with Art. 22 par. 1 sentence
2 WpHG.
