Austin, TX, Aug. 21, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Westlake Securities is pleased to announce that Christopher D. Casey has joined the firm's investment banking team as a Managing Director. He is based at Westlake's Austin headquarters.

Chris's background includes more than twenty years of capital markets and institutional limited partnership experience with a particular emphasis on the energy, infrastructure and real estate sectors. Prior to joining Westlake, Mr. Casey was on the investment team at Franklin Templeton Real Asset Advisors as an Institutional Portfolio Manager for their infrastructure and real estate products. Additionally, Mr. Casey held positions at Post Oak Energy Capital, a Houston based oil and gas private equity firm, where he led the fund raising efforts for their initial $200 million fund; AIG Global Real Estate, where he was managing director responsible for raising capital for their global property funds; Forum Partners and Lehman Brothers. He began his investment banking career in the mergers and acquisition group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York.
Mr. Casey received a B.S. degree from Washington and Lee University, an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a masters in management degree from the University of Dallas. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
