NetStandard to Welcome USTDA-Funded Brazilian Delegation to Kansas City Data Center

As the World Cup and Summer Olympics Approach, the Delegates' Visit Provides the Opportunity to Leverage NetStandard's Experience in Supporting Technology for a Variety of Industries.


KANSAS CITY, Kan., Aug. 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NetStandard announced today plans to welcome a delegation of Brazilian state government representatives to the company's Kansas City, Kan.-based data center facilities. Their visit to NetStandard, scheduled for 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, is a part of a nine-day, four-city business trip funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). The delegates' trip is designed to promote the latest broadband network technologies, regulations and best practices in the United States.

Comprised of 11 Brazilian federal, state and regulatory individuals with key decision-making and advisory roles in the acquisition of broadband network technologies, the delegation will join NetStandard's executive team for a panel discussion on a variety of business technology subjects. Topics to be covered by NetStandard's executive team will include disaster recovery, security, data center solutions, experience in upgrading to 10GigE internet connectivity and mobile device management, among others.

With the World Cup and the Summer Olympics on the calendar for 2014 and 2016, respectively, the U.S. visit will provide the delegates with the opportunity to assess U.S. technologies and to better understand U.S. standards, capabilities and approaches for the effective deployment of broadband network projects in Brazil. The full itinerary will include stops in Chattanooga, Tenn.; Washington, D.C.; the California Bay Area and Kansas City, Mo.
