New Brand, Clients and Leadership Propel Meridian Forward

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 27, 2013) - Meridian Knowledge Solutions, a leading provider of integrated learning and performance management systems, announced today that it has launched a new corporate identity that represents a significant step in the organization's evolution.

The debut is occurring at the ELearning! Conference and Expo, an important industry show that brings together learning and workplace technology decision makers. The new brand comes at a pivotal time for Meridian and builds on a highly successful year.

"Coming on the heels of some phenomenal wins and some great additions to our team, our new logo and website reflect our progression as a company and our leadership position in the learning and performance technology space," said Jason Marceau, chief operations officer for Meridian.

Since last year, Meridian has added over 2 million new users on its learning and performance management platforms. Recently, along with its parent company, Visionary Integration Professionals, LLC (VIP), Meridian was awarded a $95-million single-award blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to provide more than 300,000 agency employees with a secure, cloud-based enterprise talent management system (ETMS).

This precedent-setting contract was quickly joined by an award from the California Health Benefit Exchange, also known as Covered California™. Meridian will play a critical role in educating nearly nine million Californians about the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Investing in Staff
During the first quarter, Meridian increased its workforce by 22 percent, and promoted key personnel. Travis Hudelson rose to vice president of sales. Hudelson has more than 25 years of experience managing the sale of human capital software to private- and public-sector employers. Meridian also promoted Geoff Perry to senior director of software development and hosted solutions. Perry manages Meridian's technical and cloud teams.

Meridian also hired Rebecca Hirschfield as marketing director, and Odette Santiago-Elmer as training manager. Both bring over 20 years of experience in their respective fields to the Meridian team.

Added Marceau, "We feel that as a fundamental human process, learning motivates individuals, helps build successful teams and fuels competitive organizations. Placing learning first is what drives performance. We're excited to be bringing this message to the learning and performance community."
