CEO of Tomorrow Scholarship Awarded by CEO.com to Howard University Senior, Aaron-Micheal Blackman

SILICON SLOPES, UT--(Marketwired - September 09, 2013) - CEO.com has awarded its 2013 CEO of Tomorrow Scholarship to Aaron-Micheal Blackman, a senior at Howard University in Washington, DC. Blackman is a resident of St. Louis, MO.

The CEO of Tomorrow scholarship was established to explore the mindset and preferences of future executives and business leaders. This year applicants were asked to respond to the question, "If you could change anything about the American education system what would it be?" Aside from writing ability, applicants for the $2,500 scholarship were judged on the clarity and originality behind their philosophies on improving education for future leaders. Nearly 2,000 students competed for the scholarship.

"This year we wanted to hear how tomorrow's leaders felt today's education system could better prepare them for the future," said Mark Adams, CEO.com's Editor-in-Chief. "Aaron-Micheal stood out for his ability to succinctly identify an issue while providing a logical solution that would help bridge the gap between education and employment. It was a perfect fit for the CEO of Tomorrow scholarship."

Blackman is majoring in Systems and Computer Science. Among his extracurricular activities, he enjoys reading, tutoring other students and training with Howard University's Taekwondo club. He expects to graduate in the spring of 2014.

The application process for next year's scholarship will open this November. For more information, visit http://www.ceo.com/ceo-of-tomorrow-scholarship/.
