MS&K's Susan Kohn Ross Named Outstanding Woman in International Trade of 2013

Highly Regarded Lawyer to be Honored by Women in International Trade -- Los Angeles at October 30th Gala in San Pedro


LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Susan Kohn Ross, a partner in the Los Angeles office of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP (MS&K) and chair of the firm's International Trade Practice, has been named the Outstanding Women in International Trade of 2013 by the Los Angeles chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade.

Ross will be honored at the Women in International Trade – Los Angeles (WIT-LA) Global Trade Awards Gala. The event will be held on October 30, 2013, in the ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Pedro, right in the heart of Los Angeles Harbor.

The WIT-LA Global Trade Awards Gala draws together individuals from the international trade industry to recognize and celebrate women who have made a difference by serving as role models and helping to advance international trade.

Ross represents companies and entities, in both the administrative and commercial setting, regarding the importation and exportation of goods. She has assisted clients with matters before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Departments of Justice, Commerce and State, Federal Maritime Commission, U.S. Trade Representative and International Trade Commission, as well as the Court of International Trade and various other federal and state courts and agencies which regulate the flow of goods. Ross is highly regarded in the international trade industry for her successful representation of clients with legal challenges such as logistics/shipping contract negotiations, free trade agreement qualification/compliance, duty reduction analyses and transfer pricing.

Ross earned her law degree from Southwestern Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is admitted for practice before the California courts, the United States Court of International Trade, the United States Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
