Raleigh, NC, Sept. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RegEd, the leading provider of compliance technology solutions to the financial services industry, including Xchange, the market-leading Enterprise Licensing and Registration solution, announced its participation in 2013 Securities and Insurance Licensing Association (SILA) conference in New Orleans.
SILA provides an educational forum for members to exchange information, best practices and ideas that resolve issues common to the industry and to improve licensing and registration across the country. RegEd has supported SILA's mission for over 15 years, is a SILA Platinum Sponsor and partners with SILA to provide the SILA Digest, a critical compilation of licensing and education requirements for the financial services professional.
Ann Robinson, SVP Product Management at RegEd, a featured speaker at this year's conference, will present "On Both Sides of the Table: Perspectives on Driving Value, Optimizing Compliance through Technology Partner Relationships" and will share her very unique perspective on ways that compliance professionals and solution providers can partner to maximize the return on technology investments.
Prior to her role at RegEd, Ms. Robinson held senior leadership
positions in Compliance at independent and bank-based broker
dealers. In that capacity Ms. Robinson regularly worked in
concert with compliance solution providers to drive a compelling
business case for technology acquisition and to engineer optimal
work processes and install best practices in tandem with each
technology implementation.
"In 2013, vendor consolidation is the mantra of many financial
services firms, and, increasingly, firms are demanding technology
solutions that are highly configurable, extensible and that deliver
benefits across multiple quadrants of their balanced scorecard,"
noted John M. Schobel, RegEd CEO. "If the net benefit cannot be
quantified in terms that intersect the firm's core business
objectives, the technology decision will be deferred in favor of
initiatives that do."
Also presenting at SILA 2013 is Brandi Brown, Senior Vice President, RegEd Regulatory Affairs. Brandi will join a panel discussion on product-specific training, now a requirement across the majority of states, spanning annuity suitability, long term care, long term care partnership, senior suitability, indexed products, flood insurance, Medicare training, homeowners valuation and premium discount hurricane mitigation. Ms. Brown will discuss ways that CE administrators, providers and carriers can optimize their firm's product training program, including ongoing requirements monitoring, course content and technology to track product training and CE completions and completions data management.
According to Angela Pace, RegEd Chief Regulatory Officer, "The breadth of products requiring state-mandated training has expanded significantly over the last several years, and as a result, product-specific training requirements pose challenges, not only to producers, but to insurance carriers. Staying on top of the requirements, which can vary by state, requires monitoring for regulatory change, developing practical solutions that fulfill the requirements and employing technology to drive efficiency in the process and streamline compliance for the producer population. Ms. Pace continued, "RegEd is committed to providing solutions for existing and emerging requirements that reduce the compliance complexity for carriers and producers alike."
In addition to Ms. Robinson's and Ms. Brown's presentations, RegEd is exhibiting at the conference and can be located at Booths 6 and 7 in the main exhibit hall of the New Orleans Marriott Downtown Hotel.
