Imperial Capital Hires a Senior Equity Research Analyst Expanding Its Core Services in the Consumer Sector and Opens Office in Berwyn, PA

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 24, 2013) - Imperial Capital, LLC ("Imperial Capital"), a full service investment banking firm, announced today the Firm's continued expansion efforts with the opening of an office in Berwyn, PA in conjunction with the hiring of Mitch Pinheiro, a Senior Equity Research Analyst covering the consumer sector. With Mr. Pinheiro's specific consumer coverage in health and wellness, Imperial Capital expands its existing consumer sector coverage in both Institutional Research and Investment Banking, delivering more product to its institutional and corporate clients.

Mr. Pinheiro joins Imperial Capital as a Senior Vice President in the Equity & Industry Research Group covering the consumer sector based out of the Berwyn office, and reporting to Edward P. Mally. Mr. Pinheiro joins Lee Giordano, an Equity Research Managing Director who has been with Imperial since May 2009 covering consumer/retail, to further develop consumer research best ideas. With over 25 years of experience in equity research coverage, Mr. Pinheiro's specialization is in consumer markets analysis in the health and wellness sectors. Prior to joining Imperial, Mr. Pinheiro spent the bulk of his career as a Senior Vice President, Equity Research with Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Pinheiro has been listed on The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" 12 times and three times as the number one analyst in packaged foods. He was inducted in 2006 into The Wall Street Journal's Analyst Hall of Fame and rated as a top analyst in the 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2008, and 2010 Forbes/Starmine rankings.
