Gary Bicknell, service operations manager at evologic, said, "This was an amazing opportunity to bring new life to an outdated space. For the first time in 20 years, City Hall of Kansas City completed a total makeover of its offices. One of the main goals of the project was to future-proof the design for any emerging technology over the next decade."

evologic installed clean and sustainable walls, millwork and other eco-friendly solutions from DIRTT including solid walls, combination walls, modular millwork and embedded millwork. Also installed were a media wall, an embedded TV, iPad, video camera and eBeam touchscreen technology, as well as new office furniture.

According to DIRTT, a manufacturer that specializes in sustainable solutions, "A truly sustainable solution saves you money typically lost on wasted extra real estate, materials, energy, disposal and time. The first two Rs of sustainability, Reduce and Reuse, are the same two Rs in a healthy bottom-line. If we change from being a disposable society, the environment and economy will follow," the website said.
