Domo Snags Catherine Wong as SVP of Engineering

Domo Continues to Solidify Management Team With Additional Omniture Veteran

SILICON SLOPES, UT--(Marketwired - September 30, 2013) -  Domo, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture that is redefining the business intelligence (BI) market and transforming the way business is managed, announced today that Catherine Wong has joined the company as senior vice president of engineering.

Wong brings extensive technology and engineering management experience to Domo's seasoned leadership team. She joins Domo from Adobe and Omniture, where she started 13 years ago as a software engineer. During her tenure, she ascended through the ranks, taking on increased and varied responsibility with key roles in product management, product integration, technical architecture and engineering management. She has demonstrated tremendous leadership capability, managing a team of more than 500 people.

Wong joins Domo five months after Brett Error signed on as Domo's chief scientist and chief strategy officer. Error served as Omniture's CTO for 14 years and had Wong reporting directly to him for more than half his tenure. Omniture introduced the world's first enterprise SaaS/on-demand software system. Scaling to handle more than 1.5 trillion transactions per quarter, this system quickly became one of the world's largest data systems, second only to Akamai.

Wong reports to Domo CTO Daren Thayne and will work with Thayne, Domo founder and CEO Josh James, Brett Error and others to define the strategy of the Domo platform. She will serve as a member of the executive management team.

"Catherine is one of the greatest tech talents in the valley," said James. "Her technical and strategic abilities coupled with her gift to get the best out of individuals and teams, perfectly complement the talents that Daren and Brett possess. With Daren, Brett and Catherine, Domo has the perfect tech triumvirate. I am personally thrilled to be working with her again and know she'll be instrumental in our journey to becoming the most significant enterprise tech company since salesforce.com."

"Domo has an unparalleled opportunity to transform the way companies are managed," said Wong. "That excites me. I am proud of what we achieved at Omniture, and I am looking forward to working with the entire team Josh has assembled to conquer an opportunity that's even more challenging and substantial."

"From the instant I met Catherine, I knew she had caught the vision of what we are building," said Daren Thayne, Domo's chief technology officer. "Her reputation precedes her and I'm excited to have her help us drive that vision forward."

"Catherine is so methodical and thoughtful, yet she's never been afraid to jump in front of the train," said Error. "Her approach to engineering served us incredibly well at Omniture, especially during times of rapid growth and change. I know she's as excited as I am to help Domo become one of the most transformational companies of our time."

Wong has been awarded patents in data segmentation, data visualization and SaaS data collection. She is an original member of the advisory board for the Women Tech Council and served on the advisory board for the College of Engineering at the University of Utah. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Brigham Young University.
